## Pre-seed bets on data-centric companies

> A *vang* is the rope on a sailboat that pulls the boom into shape — tight upwind, slack downwind. We pick the same way: hold the dataset in tension, control the shape, capture what wind there is.

## What we mean by "data-centric"

Data-centric ≠ uses data. Many companies use data. The ones we back are those whose unit-economics improve with data — companies where the dataset itself is the moat.

*Cledara*: SaaS procurement that becomes a procurement-data product. *Brydg*: bridge lending where the underwriting dataset compounds. *Yummy*: hyperlocal delivery where demand-data gets sharper per shopper. *RELAYTO/*: document engagement signals.
